Open Conversation Evenings
A space for real voices, real stories, and honest connection.
Each of the Open Conversation Evenings bring together people with one thing in common: They may share a demographic or life stage: women in mid-life, students, expats, mixed groups. Actual experiences can be remarkably different. Within any group there are both surprising contrasts and threads of shared understanding. These evenings make room for both.
They’re not about creating niches; they’re about finding connection across them. Most of us don’t often get the chance to talk without performing, comparing, or feeling we have to “be” a certain way. These evenings offer a place to speak freely, listen deeply, share, learn and be heard without judgement or advice.
This is not a therapy session, and it’s not an art workshop. It sits comfortably in between. The room is set up for ease, conversation, and presence. Art materials are available for anyone who feels more grounded or expressive when their hands are occupied, but there is no pressure to use them. Talking is just as valid a form of expression.
My role is to hold the space: guiding the flow, keeping the conversation respectful, curious, and real. I help the group go deeper when it wants to, and steady the energy when needed, so everyone feels welcome to participate in their own way, and feel safe in doing that..
You might leave with: a sense of recognition, a shift in perspective, or the simple relief of having been seen and heard. Sometimes enduing friendships are built, in just one evening.
You don’t have to prepare anything.
You don’t have to make art.
You just come, grab a tea or coffee if you like, sit down, be yourself, and we’ll let the evening unfold.
